Why is this role important for Axelspace?

You have a critical role, to be responsible for orchestrating game changing solutions to be delivered to our clients to make visible business impact for Axelspace. We are growing fast as a company, launching more satellites and expanding our business horizon globally. The Axelspace Business Team is accountable for an aggressive revenue target and your contribution will be essential to empower anyone with actionable earth observation data to make informed decision. As small startup that is still growing, you must demonstrate a collaborative working style, great communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a non-rules based environment of innovation.
You will report to the Account Management Team Leader in delivering the Moon Shot Sales Target, given by the Chief Business Officer.

 

What we expect you to do?

  • Create detailed business plans designed to attain predetermined business goals 
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal
  • Unearth new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into long-term partnerships
  • Illustrate the value of products and services to create growth opportunities
  • Effectively manage multiple accounts, while seeking new opportunities
  • Provide professional after-sales support to maximize client loyalty
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and partners by understanding focus and needs, and anticipating them in advance
  • Respond to complaints and resolve issues to the client’s satisfaction and to maintain the company’s reputation
  • Oversee and achieve organizational goals while upholding Axelspace’s values

 

What are the relevant experience and mindset?

  • At least 3 years of working experience
  • World class insights of remote sensing industry and well-established networks of business relationships, which can be activated 
  • Powerful negotiation skills in a global business setting 
  • Good listener, who can help clients discover their fundamental needs and come up with innovative solutions to excite them to do business with Axelspace
  • Ability to take individual ownership to support the collective and make others successful
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and taking ownership, ready to self-define the role within the Team and responsibilities expected, without being told what to do
  • Thrive working in an interdisciplinary Team, coordinating the efforts of the different departments to deliver real value to our clients

 

Working Conditions

  • Salary: TBA, will be decided based on your experience and your field of expertise upon successful interview processes.
  • Bonus: Twice a year (decided based on the individual’s performance and the company’s profit).
  • Commuter's allowance
  • Pay Revision: Once a year (decided based on the individual’s performance/contribution).
  • Working Hours: Flex-Hour System
  • Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, Japanese national holidays and New Year holidays.
  • Leave: Annual paid and unpaid leave, special leave for weddings, funerals, etc. 
  • Financial support provided for moving from overseas  
  • Opportunity to attend optional Japanese language lesson
